Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trek route
From Kathmandu, you will take one of the most sensational flights of your life to the Lukla airport. Upon reaching here, you will meet with the rest of the crew members and begin trekking towards Namche Bazar via Phakding. You will take a rest day here and spend your day exploring around the village and hike to the Everest View Hotel for a panoramic view of the Himalayan mountains.
Next day, you will trek towards Tengboche, where you will visit the oldest monastery of the region, Tengboche monastery. Further, the trail gradually ascends to Gokyo Valley and takes you to Goko village passing through small villages. You will then cross the Renjo La Pass and drop down to Lukla following the same trail. Taking another thrilling flight, you will return to Kathmandu.

Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trek difficulty & Altitude Sickness
Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trek is a difficult journey in the Khumbu region. The trail crosses challenging Renjo La Pass. Many ascends & descends are involved in the journey with frequent steep and rugged climbing. Likewise, you will walk for 6 to 7 hours a day. You have to be in good shape to go on this trek. Strong physical fitness and stamina are also needed. This trek is not suitable for beginner trekkers. The drastic change in altitude can trigger altitude sickness, however we have added adequate rest days in our itinerary that will help you in acclimatization. Do drink at least 2 liters of water each day to avoid altitude sickness.
Best time to go on Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trek
The best time to go on Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trekking is from March to April and October to November. This is the most preferred time of the year to go on this trek because of stable weather and moderate climate. These months consist of two seasons; spring and autumn. The views are also at its best in the season. Other seasons like monsoon and winter are not a good time to go on Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trek 16 Days.
Accommodation & Meals
During your Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trek, you will stay overnight in the best guesthouse/lodge as per the availability. All the rooms are on a twin-sharing basis with clean common toilets. The lodge here offers basic facilities. For service like a hot shower, you might have to pay a little money. The meals will be served as per the menu of guesthouse/lodge, still you will have a wide variety of options. You will also find snacks and bars during your trek, but due to high altitude and no transportation, price can go higher than usual.
Communication & Electricity
You will find internet access during the Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trek 16 Days. In fact, after Ncell (Nepalese telecommunication company) established 3G mobile broadband on Gorak Shep at 5,200 meters, one can do live feeds from many places. However, do remember that the internet connection gets unstable due to bad weather. You can also find WiFi service in almost every lodge, but you have to pay an extra charge for it. Similarly, electricity is also available everywhere. You can charge your electric appliances either for free or by paying a few bucks. Caring extra batteries will be a good choice for you.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is recommended to have while Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trekking. It will be back up for you to rely on in case of an emergency. Your travel insurance must cover things like airlift, medical bills, hospital bills, flight cancellation, and loss or theft of the property. Any foreign travelers are not allowed to take out travel insurance in Nepal, so make sure to get one from your country and carry the documents with you.
